Sanlorenzo Showcases New Flagship 74Steel at Monaco Yacht Show

Sanlorenzo returned to this year’s Monaco Yacht Show with one of the most significant moments in the shipyard's recent history: the world premiere of the new flagship of its Steel series, the 74Steel, which was presented alongside the 58Steel.

Taking centre stage in Port Hercules, the 74Steel marks a new chapter for Sanlorenzo's metal yacht division and is the largest yacht ever built by the shipyard. Designed to maximise the connection between guests and the sea, the yacht introduces generous outdoor living spaces, effortless interior-exterior transitions and a sophisticated architectural approach. The standout feature of the 74Steel is her five-deck layout and exceptional use of volume, creating an experience that feels at once grand and intimate. True to Sanlorenzo's philosophy of bespoke craftsmanship, every detail has been carefully considered to deliver a highly personalised onboard lifestyle, while maintaining elegant proportions and understated aesthetics.

 

The premiere of the 74Steel is only the beginning of the model's story. Already under construction, the second unit will feature one of the most distinctive design elements ever incorporated aboard a Sanlorenzo yacht: a living tree conceived as the centrepiece of the onboard experience.

The concept reflects the shipyard's evolving vision of bringing nature closer to life at sea, transforming the yacht into a space where architecture, landscape and the marine environment exist together. Alongside the world premiere of the 74Steel, Sanlorenzo also presented its 58Steel. As the successor to the 57Steel, the 58Steel introduces an entirely new platform, combining increased volume, greater flexibility and bold diesel-electric propulsion technology. Measuring 58 metres with an expanded 10.8-metre beam, the yacht delivers interior volumes comparable to those typically found aboard a 64-metre vessel, offering owners greater freedom in how life on board is configured.

Accommodation includes two full-beam VIP suites on the lower deck, a supreme VIP cabin on the main deck and a private owner's retreat occupying the upper deck. This comes complete with a panoramic suite, office, dressing area, private pool and lounge that can be transformed into a cinema room. A defining feature of the 58Steel is found in its diesel-electric propulsion system: the first of its kind within Sanlorenzo's Steel fleet. Designed to reduce emissions by approximately 10 per cent compared to conventional propulsion systems, it enables up to two hours of silent cruising and up to eight hours of zero-emissions hotel operation while at anchor.

By reducing the engine room layout to a single deck, Sanlorenzo has also unlocked more than 40 square metres of additional guest space, reinforcing the yacht's focus on comfort, efficiency and wellbeing. At the stern, the three-sided beach club unfolds to create a floating terrace on the sea, complete with a bar, hammam, gym and beauty salon. Combined with warm, highly customised interiors developed by Sanlorenzo's Style Department, the 58Steel exemplifies the shipyard's philosophy of made-to-measure yachting, where innovation is integrated with elegance.
