Sanlorenzo Unveils SHE at Cannes Yachting Festival

The Cannes Yachting Festival 2026 marked a significant moment in Sanlorenzo's history with the world premiere of SHE, the first model of the shipyard's new Heritage line. Positioned amongst an impressive fleet of Sanlorenzo yachts on display, SHE captured attention with her elegant profile and understated presence, offering visitors a vision of how heritage and contemporary technology can coexist in harmony. 

The name SHE, an acronym for Sanlorenzo Heritage, pays tribute to the golden era of Italian yachting during the 1960s. Rather than recreating a classic yacht, Sanlorenzo sought to reinterpret the elegance, proportions, and sophistication of this period through a modern lens. Developed around the philosophy of "tomorrow's timeless," SHE draws inspiration from the graceful displacement yachts that once defined Mediterranean cruising, while still incorporating the comfort, efficiency, and sustainability expected by today's owners. The result is a yacht that feels both familiar and entirely contemporary. 

Measuring 25.5 metres, SHE offers an alternative to the increasingly aggressive styling seen across the industry. Every line has been carefully considered to create a yacht of enduring beauty, prioritising balance and proportion over fleeting trends. Behind SHE's timeless exterior lies an advanced technological platform. The yacht features Sanlorenzo's first application of the Volvo Penta IPS Hybrid propulsion system, combining traditional diesel power with electric propulsion to deliver quieter operation, reduced consumption, and enhanced cruising efficiency. This hybrid system allows silent electric navigation during selected operations, reflecting Sanlorenzo's continued commitment to responsible innovation without compromising the ownership experience.

The hull itself has been constructed using bio-based resins and lightweight sandwich lamination techniques, reducing the overall weight while improving structural performance. These sustainable materials demonstrate how environmental consciousness can be integrated into luxury yacht construction. Accommodation for six guests is arranged across three well-appointed cabins, including a full-beam owner's suite, while the yacht's clever multi-level layout creates an impressive sense of space for a vessel of her size. Generous glazing, seamless indoor-outdoor connections, and an innovative sea-level terrace emphasise a lifestyle centred around the water.

A defining feature of the Heritage concept is the ability for owners to choose between two distinct design interpretations. The first, created by Piero Lissoni and Lissoni & Partners, embodies the architect's signature approach to contemporary living. Clean architectural lines, refined proportions, and carefully curated materials create an atmosphere of understated sophistication. The interiors feel calm, elegant, and unmistakably modern, whilst maintaining a strong connection to the yacht's heritage-inspired character.

Owners may alternatively select an interior concept developed by Zuccon International Project, offering a different interpretation of luxury that complements the yacht's exterior design. As the long-standing design partner responsible for the exterior styling of Sanlorenzo's entire yacht portfolio, Zuccon brings a distinctive vision that emphasises warmth, comfort, and the enduring appeal of Italian craftsmanship.

While SHE was the focal point of the Cannes display, visitors were also able to explore the broad spectrum of Sanlorenzo's yacht ranges. The fleet on display included the asymmetric yachts SL86A, SL96A, SL110A, and SL120A each demonstrating Sanlorenzo's unique approach to maximising onboard living space. The semi-displacement range was represented by the elegant SD90 and the flagship SD118 with a Christian Liaigre interior, while the crossover SX fleet attracted considerable interest with the SX88, and SX100. Completing the display was the bold and performance-oriented SP92, a yacht that continues to challenge expectations within the performance yacht segment.
